The eagerly anticipated next installment of the Windows operating system, Windows 8, finally has a release window. 
 
Tami Reller, corporate vice president of Windows, revealed during a conference in Toronto that Windows 8 will have a “late October” release window. Windows 8 will be released to manufacturing and business users in early August.
 
Why is this something that’s showing up on a video game website?
 
Unless you’ve been pretty much ignoring all things Windows, it’s pretty clear that Windows 8 will have a significant degree of integration with the Xbox 360. Some rumors have even gone so far as to suggest that 360 games will be playable via the new OS, though that seems a little too good to be true.
