Though Nintendo may have wanted to wait until E3 to share the news publicly, after re-forecasting their annual loss, they couldn’t hold anything back from investors.
At the investor meeting immediately following the the release of the Q3 results, Iwata confirmed the release timeline. Though a tech-demo was shown last year at E3 during Nintendo’s keynote, little is known about the console.
Nintendo is expected to release such information as tech-specs, pricing and a launch line-up of games at this year’s E3. With so much riding on the the new console to replace the crippling Wii hardware and software sales, the launch line-up has to be one of the best Nintendo has ever crafted.
