Square Enix first officially announced the new reboot to ‘Tomb Raider’ last year at E3 2011, since then not too much information has been released. Except for the fact that it will now be released in 2013.
It was one of the most exciting games that was announced at E3 last year, unfortunately Crystal Dynamics has announced that it will delay ‘Tomb Raider’ until 2013.

The team over at Gameinformer.com seem to have the only inside-scoop on the next Tomb Raider game. They have been releasing some goodies throughout the last month and recently they posted a new gallery to enjoy.
A heads up for the followers of the series, the new January issue of Game Informer be showing off the latest iteration in the Tomb Raider series called, simply, Tomb Raider. Details are few and far between at this point, but we know it features Lara’s first adventure in which she must struggle to stay alive (hence “A Survivor is Born,” the tag line used to tease the release). You can see the rough-looking Lara below.
Head of Crystal Dynamics, Darrell Gallagher, said we should “forget everything you knew about Tomb Raider” also that this is “an origins story that creates Lara Croft and takes her on a character defining journey like no other,”

So a while back a fansite of the Tomb Raider series caught a trademark license from Square Enix for a “computer game software” and “video game software” reserving the phrase “A SURVIVOR IS BORN”.
