Bioware has officially announced that their hit MMO ‘Star Wars: The Old Republic’ will be Free to Play (FTP) starting this fall 2012. Here are the details released from Bioware.
The change will start this fall 2012, anyone without a paid subscription will be allowed to reach level 50 with very few restrictions but you will have to subscribe after that point.
The paid model isn’t going out the window, players will still be able to choose a subscription model that will grant them all content, free Star Wars currency every month and other customizable gear and goodies.
Bioware has assumed current subscribers and those that eager to join the game will have many questions regarding the shift to FTP. Bioware has set up a FAQs guide to walk you through the benefits and changes that will occur this fall. You can check out the guide below.
