EA released a Press Release announcing some exciting news regarding its latest MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic. In just one week the title has more than a million registered players in just one week. 
 
This allows EA to grant it the slogan, “fastest growing subscription MMO in history.”
 
Although it sounds like an accomplishment, EA and Bioware racked up 2 million users in its BETA test, meaning there are a million people that have yet to pay for the game. We don’t want to rain on their parade though, 1 million in a week is something to cheer about.
 
Some impressive stats about the game so far:

• Over 28 million gaming hours logged
• 3.8 million characters created (almost a 50/50 spilt of Jedi and Sith)
• 2 billion NPC’s have been killed.
