In a little over a week, over Bethesda has recorded over 2 million downloads form the Skyrim Workshop. The ‘Creation Kit’ and ‘Skyrim Workshop’ were released earlier this month to allow gamers to start modifying the popular title and sharing that content with the community.
In a press-release from Bethesda, the development company gives more details on the achievement, “Within a week of the release of the Creation Kit, gamers have downloaded more than 2 million mods via the Skyrim Workshop. More than 2,500 mods have been published by the gaming community, all of which are available for free.”
Bethesda lists some other impressive stats, other than downloads, for Skyrim as well. Bethesda claims that the “average number of hours that a gamer plays Skyrim exceeds 75 hours”. They also estimate retail sales now exceed the $650 million mark, with over 10 million units sold. They can also boast the fact that the PC version of Skyrim, outsold other PC titles 3:1 in total sales.
