SEGA confirmed that the open-beta for their upcoming title ‘Phantasy Star Online 2′ will begin this week. Along with the announcement, SEGA has confirmed a few details for the test.
Phantasy Star Online 2 just finished its closed-beta test last week, now that certain fixes and server maintenance have been completed, the game can enter into the open-beta stage.
There will be a level-cap in place for those who enter, players will be allowed to level-up until level 30. The finished game is scheduled to be free-to-play and will launch with a host of different platforms including; PC, select smartphones and the new PS Vita. The PS Vita and PC versions of the game will be identical, the smartphone version of the title will be scaled back to allow more of a social-game feel.
We will have more exact details as the game nears launch this summer. As for now you can check out the beta and enjoy the game up to level 30. You can download the beta from the official Japanese beta site below.
