In what could be construed as a very confusing post, Reggie Fils-Aime has an interesting quote alongside a picture on the Nintendo investor’s blog talking about the new line-up of digital-offerings for 2012.
Nintendo made it very clear that it will be bumping up its digital library in 2012, offering gamers the choice between retail and digital for most of its games. The quote next to the slide (shown on the right) states:
Finally, let’s talk about the games. We’ve got a massive list of AAA content on the way from all of the biggest names in gaming that are all proven franchises, all exclusive to our platform, and all coming to stores both in physical and digital formats in the second half of 2012.
Some of the major games on that picture are ‘Castlevania’, ‘New Super Mario 2′, Epic Mickey and the new ‘Kingdom Hearts 3D’ title. It would be very impressive to see all the games on that list come out as both digital and retail releases, though we don’t know how plausible that will be.
We have reached out to Nintendo for a statement on the matter.
@n3dsnews Is all 3ds games going be download available?
