Set for release sometime in the spring of 2012, NetherRealm Studios’ hit fighting game Mortal Kombat is set to make its debut on the PS Vita. The handheld version is reportedly being developed exclusively for the Vita’s capabilities.
Says NetherRealm Studios creative director Ed Boon: “The NetherRealm team is committed to making sure that we follow up the success of 2011′s Mortal Kombat with an equally compelling experience on the PlayStation Vita.
The original game content and new features we developed for the PlayStation Vita will provide gamers with the best fighting game experience available on the new mobile platform.â€
Sounds like this version is shaping up to be more than just a simple port!
