The Microsoft Surface tablet wowed a lot of tech buffs when it was announced, with its integrated keyboard and Windows 8 functionality. However, you might want to start saving if you want to get your hands on one of these bad boys when it launches.
Swedish retailer Webhallen is currently taking pre-orders for the Surface. Anyone want to guess how much the entry-level 32 GB model is going for?
6,990 Krona, or roughly just over $1,000. Yikes.
Chances are the price is merely a placeholder, especially if Microsoft intends to compete with the likes of Apple and the various Android tablets out on the market today. I suppose we’ll have to wait and see how this develops!
So the question remains, all Apple VS Microsoft fanboyism aside; would you pay $1,000 for this, considering the most expensive model of the industry leading iPad can be bought for $829.00 (or a more down to Earth model for around $500)?
