One of the biggest announcements that Microsoft had this year was ‘Smart Glass’ a new app that will allow you to push media to other devices to and from your Xbox 360. You can get all the details about ‘Smart Glass’ below.
The announcement came in the middle of Microsoft’s E3 2012 press event, not only can you start watching a movie on your Xbox 360 and then finish watching that movie on the go with your tablet or smartphone, but your smart glass app can interact with the movie as well.
This was done when the announcer was watching ‘Game of Thrones’ and the tablet (which was using Smart Glass) showed extra information on its screen. In this case it was a map that showed the “current location” of the scene being played in the ‘Game of Thrones’ movie (shown on the right). Needless to say, it was very impressive. Madden NFL used the Smart Glass app to allow the player to change the route of the wide-receiver, using the touch screen to draw a new route for him to follow.
More news about Smart Glass will be shown later, as for now you can expect it to launch with a host of features this fall for Xbox 360.
