Microsoft has officially announced the release date for their much anticipated new Operating System ‘Windows 8′. Customers will be able to buy, or upgrade to, the new OS this October.
The official date for the release is October 26, 2012. Windows 8 comes with a host of new features and possibilities, though Xbox 360 users will want to pay special attention to a select few of these new installments.
This operating system will be the backbone of ‘SmartGlass’ the tablet and mobile phone enabling super synch-er that will allow playback on multiple devices, allow functionality within games (from Xbox 360 to tablet) and will be fully supported with all first-party titles.
Smartglass was demonstrated with HBO’s hot series ‘Game of Thrones’ and with ‘Halo 4′ at this year’s E3 presentation. You can learn more about Smartglass by choosing the topic below.
