A new update to the free-to-play title, Lord of the Rings Online brings an “elite groups of mounted enemies” to the game. Learn all about the ‘Warbands’ below and check out the screens. 

 

In a press-release sent out today from Warner Bros. the popular title ‘Lord of the Rings: Online’ will be getting a new enemy to hunt down and scourge from middle-earth.

 

These mounted riders are considered “rarer in occurrence” than some of your average prey but should be feared for their strength and numbers. “Unlike other foes, Warbands travel over large distances and can quickly overcome the unwary adventurer. Often times, a Warband will be better dealt with by riding alongside your allies as you charge into battle” states the release.

 

A new “open tapping” combat rule has also been implemented in the game, making sure you can credit for killing these monsters even if you are not in a group. You can check out the latest screens of the game featuring the riders below.
