Long awaited Fez patch can corrupt saved game files
The XBLA hit ‘Fez’ released a major title update for Xbox 360 users today, unfortunately installing the patch might do more harm then good. Here is your warning to protect you from saved-game file deletion.
The patch was aimed to fix a number of bugs and errors that have been plaguing the game since it’s XBLA debut. Polytron is stating that the patch might corrupt your saved files stating “THE PATCH IS KINDA BROKEN”.
Polytron then followed up with the Tweet claiming, “There is an issue that seems fairly widespread where the save file can be seen as corrupted by the game after installing the patch. We’re floored that this wasn’t found in testing.”
If you encounter this issue, the best of course of action is to clear your Xbox 360 cache. If that doesn’t work there is no other solution at this time.
