The ax has been brought down at Warner Bros.’ Seattle based Snowblind Studios. The studio is responsible for games such as FEAR and The Lord of the Rings: War in the North.
3D Realms co-founder George Broussard reported on his Twitter that around “60ish” staff members were let go. Warner Bros. claimed that it was forced to make cuts as part of a “continual review of our business operations and fluctuating market conditions.”
I think that’s code for they’re spending more on creating games than they are earning back, a bad situation to be in for any business.
