ArenaNet is ready to share the next content update for their extremely popular and well recieven MMO ‘Guild Wars 2′. The update will bring a new narrative, new gear and additional features. Here are the first details of the update.
Although ArenaNet wasn’t ready to release all of the details for the content update, they did leave us with a few highlights worth mentioning. We already reported that ‘Guesting’ would be coming to Guild Wars 2 and that date will be January 28, 2013. The update will also bring ‘Temple of the Silent Storm’ which will last from January 28, 2024 and last through February 4, 2013.
That event will change the “regular eight-team/three-round paid tournaments will be replaced by two-team/single-round paid tournaments in the Temple of the Silent Storm map. After the week is over, we’ll add Temple of the Silent Storm to the regular rotation of both free and paid tournaments” said the devs on the announcement page.
There will be a new achievement system that will add ‘Laurels’ which can be used to get better gear and upgrades for daily achievements and monthly achievements. Other improvements in UI, players being kicked and new equipment is also teased. You can check out the full announcement below:
