Not to be outdone by an earlier promotion, that was being held by retail chain Gamestop, Amazon has also cut the price of the 160gb Playstation 3 to just $199.
The model in question (shown on the right 160gb PS3) usually runs for $249.99 and although Sony has not made an official announcement regarding a permanent price-drop for the PS3′s MSRP, this is the second major retailer to follow suit.
If you are in the market to upgrade, gift or buy a PS3 it seems that retailers are currently fighting for business. Might be a good time to strike.
