Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 fans that are also PS3 users now have a release date for the ‘Revolution’ DLC. The first DLC installment pack will launch in just a matter of days. Here is a recap of what’s included.
The exact date will be February 28, 2024 for PS3 users. The content will be made available on the PlayStation Network. Dan Amrich, the Community Manager at Activision, broke the news earlier this morning on the Playstation Blog. The new DLC will open a lot of new content for players, including these four multiplayer maps:
- Hydro: Located in Pakistan, this hydro-electric plant comes complete with a lethal spillway that floods with very little warning.
- Grind: Set in a skate park in Venice Beach (the birthplace of skateboarding!), quarter-pipes and curved surfaces drive players away from easy cover and into intense firefights.
- Downhill: A ski resort in the French Alps, this snowy map is complete with a moving gondola system that can both offer cover and crush you to death.
- Mirage: Located in China’s Gobi Desert, this luxury resort has been ravaged by a sandstorm.
Amrich makes it a point to state that the map ‘Mirage’ will be the “first Black Ops II map where Domination takes place in a triangular flag pattern instead of a linear one”. Revolution will also have the very first downloadable weapon in a Call of Duty game, this one called the “Peacekeeper SMG”. The gun will be able to be customized with either a gold or diamond camo choice.
As for Zombie-content, the map “Die Rise” adds a new Zombie level. There will also be a new Zombie game-mode called “Turned”. The game-mode will add “up to four players” says Amrich and “one is human, the other three are zombies”.
