Irrational Games has announced that they will be producing an e-book prequel to the highly anticipated title ‘Bioshock: Infinite’. The book will be an Amazon exclusive, here are the details. 
 
This isn’t the first prequel exclusive that Amazon’s Kindle service has done for a major gaming title. Recently ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 2′ had a similar offer as pre-order bonus for fans. If you don’t have a Kindle you can still obtain the book, using the ‘Kindle App’ available on almost any device.
 
‘BioShock Infinite: Mind in Revolt’ will release on February 12, 2024 for $2.99 but will be included for anyone that pre-orders the game through Amazon. Irrational Games states that the book will provide, “insight into the mysterious sky-city of Columbia prior to the events of BioShock Infinite and is written by Irrational Games’ writer Joe Fielder with creative director Ken Levine”.
 
“Since we first announced BioShock Infinite, our fans have asked for more information about Columbia and the complex cast of characters that inhabit the floating city,” said Fielder. “After reading the e-book, players will have a better understanding of BioShock Infinite’s world, the struggle between its factions, and the motivations of key characters, like rebel leader Daisy Fitzroy, without spoiling the mysteries of BioShock Infinite.”
 
Another free pre-order bonus for fans is the “BioShock Infinite: Industrial Revolution Pack” which will give players exclusive access to “three in-game gear items that boost combat abilities, 500 bonus in-game currency, five lock picks, and the Industrial Revolution puzzle game”. That mini-game will unlock stories of Columbia and allows players “to pledge their allegiance to the Vox Populi or Founders through Facebook”.
