It only lasted a few moments but a promotional image for EA’s upcoming FPS ‘Medal of Honor: Warfighter’ has revealed what many people were already assuming, that DICE is making a ‘Battlefield 4′. Here are the details so far.
The image was being used on the EA’s digital-distribution service ’Origin’. The image (shown above) tells consumers that if you pre-order ‘Medal of Honor: Warfighter’ that they will receive exclusive “Battlefield 4 Beta access”.
The fact that EA and DICE are making another installment of the popular FPS shouldn’t come as much of a surprise but the game hasn’t been ‘officially’ announced by the publisher or developer. The Battlefield and Medal of Honor franchises, both published by EA, have been switching off every year for the last few years.
The image has been removed at this time, whether the actual ‘Beta’ access was in fact a mistake, or an early accident, is yet to be confirmed. We have reached out to EA and will update you when we have a confirmation.
UPDATE
The official Battlefield Twitter account stated this simple message about the image, “Battlefield 4? If it isn’t on Battlefield.com, it isn’t official! ^LA”
It should be noted that since the game hasn’t been “officially” announced, it isn’t official.
