Ubisoft has a lot to show off at this year’s Comic Con event in San Diego, but one title stands above them all. That game is Assassin’s Creed III and it’s on the top of many gamers wish list for 2012.
Multiplayer was introduced earlier in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, it has now become a staple in the game after its tremendous success and possitive feedback from fans. Assassin’s Creed III came to Comic Con prepared with several multiplayer modes that were available to play at Ubisoft’s booth.
Of course not all the multiplayer modes were available but several were; including a new ‘Wolf Pack’ mode and ‘Domination’. The smaller (team size) mode was Wolf-Pack. Up to four players can work together to plan and assassinate as many targets as possible. Working together will earn you bonus time and special cut-scenes. It’s an interesting gameplay experience, it will be more popular with those that would rather work with their friends then go head-to-head in online multiplayer alone.
Speaking of online-multiplayer and killing your friends and enemies, there is Domination. The very name of the mode is a staple in most online multiplayer titles and this game isn’t too much different. There will be ‘areas’ that teams will have to control by trying to remain in the selected grid long enough to capture it. You of course have to use your usual tricks to stay alive (blending, stunning, running around like crazy) as you both actively capture the area and then defend it.
Ubisoft has promised more tools of assassinations this time around, more customization and more characters to choose from than previous titles. Clan tags and social-networking will be added to the title as well, providing more of a contest-challenge atmosphere to the game.
